Best Brunch Spot in London: Regency Cafe

brunch in London

Thanks to my nifty brother, we stumbled upon one of Yelp’s 2014 Top 10 Places to Eat in the UK. And in my opinon, one of the best brunch spots in London. The name: Regency Cafe, located on Regency Street.

The line extended out of the door, but moved relatively quickly, as service was excellent. The main guy, probably the owner or manager, joked around with customers and added to the laid-back atmosphere. Old-time diner decor covered the cafe.

The quaint cafe offers various breakfasts cooked to your liking or a set breakfast deal, clearly the most popular, as could be seen among the happy customers literally stuffing their faces with eggs and bacon. The deal included an egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, toast, and either tea of coffee. Apparently, the tea has to be had with milk, or it’s the wrong way to do it!! Extras could be added, and my brother pushed me to try the black pudding. It was yummy, until I found out it was blood sausage. Eating the black pudding stopped right then and there!

I recommend trying this cafe as one of your breakfast or brunch spots for a true English breakfast!

You’ll be full and ready to conquer the rest of your day in London after this meal.

**Just a tip: make sure you have cash in order to pay for the meal. They do not take American dollars or credit cards, only British Pounds.* This was written in 2016, so things may have changed, though! Just be sure to check before you go!*
